If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw that I took part in an interesting journey yesterday evening aka The Grand Journey by Bombay Sapphire in Berlin.
For a few days, Bombay Sapphire organizes a virtual trip into time and the world to discover the origins of the Gin.
In a vintage train, the „Laverstoke Express“ I traveled to 10 locations, from Berlin to Laverstoke, the distillery location for Bombay Sapphire, in Hampshire, England through Ghana, Italy, China and more. Everywhere where the 10 botanicals used to create the Bombay Sapphire Gin are coming from.
For every location, we tasted a creation made out of one of the botanicals used to do the gin. Coriander in Morocco, Almond in Spain, licorice in China, etc.
The food was created by the design team behind the Robin Collective and the drinks were made by mixologist and were therefore not only a real pleasure in the mouth but also a visual delight like the stunning floral jelly and the drinks served next to a smoking volcano that you can see in the pictures below.
Also, from the moment we entered the train station to the moment we arrived at our final destination, our travel was entertained by short theatrical performances that immersed us even more into the fascinating countries the Bombay Sapphire Gin comes from.
I am a big fan of the Bombay Sapphire gin but this was an amazing experience to better understand the origins and complexity of gin.
A perfect evening for all the real connoisseur or for those who like good food and drinks.
I don’t want to tell you more in case you would like to take part in this journey. If so it is possible until Sunday the 06th of November. You can purchase you tickets HERE.
