Last Saturday we spent a beautiful day as guest of Bellini Canella, the Italian brand renowned all over the world to be the first to bottle the famous Venetian cocktail, Bellini.
The day started with a fabulous breakfast at Makrönchen Manufaktur in Schöneberg and then we headed to the “Wedding Show”, the wedding fair co-curated by the Gala magazine, with which Bellini Canella partnered as official drink.
At breakfast, we had the pleasure to meet the lovely Nicoletta Canella. Her father Luciano Canella founded the winery Canella in 1947, at the time mostly specialized in the Prosecco production. In 1988 he had the revolutionary idea to bottle and sell a ready-to-drink Bellini cocktail. The idea had an immediate success and the cocktail started to be sold worldwide very quickly. Nicoletta and her brothers are now taking over the administration of the company with the same passion and love for quality.
The Bellini cocktail it’s a very light cocktail with very low alcohol dosage. This makes it suitable for almost any events and occasions. It consists of puréed white peaches and Prosecco, two typical high-quality products of the Venetian region. Its delicate and elegant taste makes it one of the favorite cocktails for weddings and gala dinners.
Bellini Canella proposes also two variations of the original receipt: Rossini composed by puréed strawberries and Prosecco, and a red Mimosa (a variation of the classic Mimosa), composed by mimosa, Prosecco with the addition of Sicilian red oranges.
All the three are very fresh and light cocktails. We founded their fruit taste especially perfect for breakfast! Very recommended for brunch or happy hour too!
After our breakfast, we went to the Wedding Show fair.
The Wedding Show takes place in three different cities: Hamburg, Leipzig and for the second year in Berlin.
With brands all over Europe, it is one of the biggest wedding fair in Germany. You can find inspiration for everything you need for your wedding, the latest trends for dresses of course but also decorations, ideas for the table settings, catering, various entertainment … there was even a workshop about hairstyling and photography.
News of this year edition has been the additional of a section curated by the “Love Circus Bash”. Another wedding fair quite big already in Munich and Frankfurt. What makes this fair different is the modern and fresh approach in choosing the brands and partners. Definitely a good contrast to the more classical and traditional style of the Wedding Show brands.
Very nice was also the catwalk show curated by Gala Magazine. Different stylists selected by the magazine have presented 40 women dresses and 20 men dresses in an unusual and very funny choreographed catwalk with a final prize to the best stylist.
Last surprise of the day was a gift bag from Bellini Canella. Inside there were special macaroons by Makrönchen Manufaktur with the flavor of the three different cocktails, and a bottle of Bellini!
