When in Greece, I had the chance to stay at an amazing boutique hotel in Crete with private pool. Here is my Daios Cove review

I arrived at Daios Cove last Monday evening and the first thing I noticed was the service. I arrived late because my flight was delayed and my luggage got lost. Despite my late arrival, the staff at the reception was very friendly and they helped me the following days with my luggage. They called the airport every day for updates about my luggage.

As I arrived late on Monday evening, I only discovered the resort the next morning. We stayed in a deluxe room with private pool and sea view. I woke up on Tuesday morning with an incredible view over the private sandy bay and directly took a dip in our private sea water pool before going to breakfast.
Restaurants at Daios Cove | Review
Every morning we had breakfast in one of the 4 restaurants of the resort. The breakfast is a very high quality buffet. It offers, healthy smoothies and power food, fruits, jam, cereals, but also eggs and charcuterie.
The food, in general at Daios cove is very good. We had an half board stay so we ate at the buffet in the evening. I am not a big fan of buffet but I have to say that the buffet at Daios Cove is really great.
Every night has a theme, Italian, Greek, fish, European, etc and serves many dishes that are very high quality.
We also took advantage of the wine and dine offer (read more about how it works here) and had dinner at the taverna, the Greek restaurant of the resort where you can eat typical greek food.
For snacks and drinks directly at the beach, we enjoyed the beach bar. Because what is better than a glass of rosé by the beach?!
As you can see there is no need to go out of the resort for food, but actually there is no need to go out of the resort at all if you just want to relax.
Activities at Daios Cove | Review
Daios Cove has plenty activities on offers. From shopping to spa facilities. There are 4 shops in the resort, 2 shops selling high designer clothes, 1 kiosk for magazine, and my favorite, a souvenir shop selling only greek items.
For the most active, you can take advantage of the daily gym classes, the fitness room, water sports (I tried paddle boarding for the first time), scuba diving or snorkeling as well as boat excursions to some of crete famous sights or a boat trips in the surroundings as we did on the last day.
The Daios Cove is also situated in the best area in Crete : Eastern Crete!

If you feel like, you can also pamper yourself at the spa that has got 2 inside pools, Finnish sauna, hydro-massage, and Thai massage studio. The Daios Cove spa by Anne Simonin, who is a french facialist to the stars (Princess Grace of Monaco and Catherine Deneuveis are some of her clients), is indeed one of the leading spa resorts in Greece with treatments starting at 60Euros.
5 stars beach resort in Crete
Last but not least, Daios Cove’s highlights are definitely the huge seawater infinite pool and the private sand beach.
Even though the resort can have up to 800 guest, the pool and beach was never crowded. Indeed, the resorts is big enough and offers so much that one always can feel intimate.
