It has been one month already since my very first time at Sani Resort in Greece, a luxury resort in Halkidiki.
I was super excited to go to Greece as I have heard so many good things about this country. I knew the food already because obviously you don’t need to go to Greece to eat greek food but I also heard about the beautiful beaches and the worldknown historic architecture.
We spent a very little time in Greece so I spent most of the time in the resort eating amazing Greek food and enjoying the private beaches of the resort. For the history of Greece and it’s famous building hope to go back soon. Indeed I fell in love with this country already even though I haven’t seen much yet.
The resort is situated on Halkidiki, a large peninsula in the northwestern Aegean Sea that is around 1 hour away from Thessaloniki airport.
The resort is huge and quite isolated so it is perfect if you want to spend a relaxing beach holiday. Indeed, with it’s supermarket, beaches, nature reserves, many activities, animations and restaurants there is no need to go out of the resort.
The resort has four hotels. We stayed at the Sani beach hotel that is the more family oriented one because it’s really children friendly with its many pools and direct access to the beach. I really apperciated the infinity pool there and i think that it is the part of the hotel with the most beautiful 9 km long and sandy beach : Bousoulas Beach, that is perfect to take a walk by the sea.
I walked a lot around the resort as well and enjoyed discovering the other hotels. Another family hotel of the resort that is children friendly is the Porto Sani Village, close to the Marina where are all the shops and facilities. For a young couple I really liked the Sani Asterias Suite where one of my reader was staying and that is more like a boutique hotel. For absolute luxury and tranquility I loved the Sani beach club where you have your own villa with private garden or pool.
All hotels have their restaurants but it is possible to eat everywhere. There is something for every taste. In the resort there are italian, japanese, grill, etc and of course greek restaurants. You can try them all thanks to the Dine Around package that allows you to try the other hotels eateries around the resort. Since I love greek food, I won’t hide that I tried only the greek restaurants and my favourite was Ouzerie that is doing traditionnal greek food and where you seat in a all-white decor and eat while overviewing the beach. Perfect for a romantic dinner at sunset.
On opposite to many other resorts, Sani resort also has a huge nature reserve with pine forests and wetlands. It is possible to bike or walk around and do bird watching. There is also a lot of activities proposed by the resort : paddle yoga, diving courses, boat tours, tennis, spa offers, shopping trips and sightseeing of the neighborhood etc… No time to get bored!!
Enjoy the pictures of the resort!!
Thanks to Sani resort for this great experience!!
