On our California road trip we decided to stop for a day in San Francisco. Many don’t know but august is quite chilly there and I was happy to wear my Paige biyfriend jeans.

Indeed, many locals told is that we were so lucky with the weather, since it has been grey and cold for weeks.

Lucky is a big word though as we had only 18degrees but it was sunny. Funnily, San Francisco has got it’s best weather from late September to early October.

A day in San Francisco is really short to get to know the city. When locals asked us how long we stay and we answered one day, everyone looked at us with big eyes. Indeed on our road trip we wanted to see the nature : Big Sur, Death Valley, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, more than the cities, this is why we planned to stay for only this period of time.
To do as much as possible on that day, we decided to take the Big Bus to go around the city. I am not a huge fan of those busses as I really like to explore the cities I go to by myself but it is a perfect option when your time is limited.
I didn’t do many research before going to San Francisco I just really wanted to see the painted houses and the Golden gate bridge. The Big Bus took you in all tourist attraction and you can stop where you want. It allowed us to see a lot of the city and I can’t wait to go back there to explore more on my own.

To be honest San Francisco was never a city I was excited about but a day there made me change my mind. The city by the bay is a really cool city!! There is a really cool vide and great areas. I loved the atmosphere at Fishermen Wharf. And I have heard that Tenderloin is quite cool for going out. Haight-Ashbury, where the summer of love 1967 started, seemed very cool as well.
