Recently I was invited to Baden Baden to test the newly reopened Brenners Park hotel restaurant : Fritz and Felix.
The Brenners Park hotel restaurant reopened it’s door with a brand new concept that fit into today’s lifestyle.
Unlike many other 5 stars hotel, the concept in the restaurant is modernity. No 5 courses lunch or dinner at Fritz and Felix. Instead, a casual dinner of high quality during which you share your meals as tapas with your friends or colleagues.
The food concept was imagined by Nenad Mlinarevic and executive chef Sebastian Mattis.
Some of my favorites are :
- As starters : Cauliflower with egg yolk and chives; Tomato burrata with salsa verde.
- As main, any of the meat made on the charcoal grill in live cooking station in the restaurant. As side, my favorites were Polenta with blue cheese; and Leek Heart roasted with hazelnut. So delicious! Vegetables are not something boring at Fritz and Felix!
Next to the beautiful designed restaurant designed by Robert Angell, there is the Fritz and Felix bar.
The Fritz and felix bar concept is based on the Roaring Twenties. It has a large selection of liquor made in Germany. Did you even know that German rum exists? Well you can find this at Fritz and Felix. If you are more of a wine lover, the wine menu changes every 3 months so it is adapted to the season. Also, many wines on the menu come from Baden Baden which make sense as there are many vineyards in the area.
