Last weekend, I went on a city trip to Moscow. I have heard that Moscow is particularly beautiful for Christmas. It was indeed beautiful but as anything beautiful it also attracts people and lots of noises.
It was the perfect occasion to test my headphones from the new 1000X series: the true wireless WF-1000X and the WH-1000XM2 wireless noise-cancelling headphones both adapted to the new phones that have no headphone jack.
The 1000X series does not only adapt to your phone, it also adapts to your environment. Both headphones have a noise cancelling option that can be regulated via the Sony Connect App. Indeed, noise cancelling is a great option, but sometimes you need to be able to hear something at the same time that you hear music. For example, you want to listen to music at the airport but you don’t want to miss the announcement for boarding. Or, by strolling through the streets, you ant to avoid an accident so it is better to hear a bit of the traffic. By connecting your headphones on the Sony Connect App you will be able to regulate the noise cancelling option. Also very new, both headphones have got an „Adaptive Sound Control“ that recognizes where you are and adapts the sound to the situation. Very clever!! Perfect for traveling is that it has atmospheric pressure optimizing that adjusts to your individual listening style and your altitude.
I like that the true wireless WF-1000X comes with a wireless charging box, that lets you recharge your headphones on the go when you don’t use them. They are just perfect for every day. The only downside is that you might lose them if you have small ears like I do. In this case you might prefer the Sony WH-1000XM2, that has a battery life of 30 hours!!
Both headphones have a hands free calling option and the WH-1000XM2 even has a “smart touch option” that allows you to speak to someone without removing your headphones by placing your hand over the case.
You will just never need (want) to remove your headphones anymore!!
