Where to sleep in Muscat - Chedi Muscat travel blogger

During my two days Oman’s capital, I slept at the Chedi Muscat. A luxury beach hotel in Muscat that many of you found absolutely incredible in my Instagram stories.

Never did I received SO MUCH feedback than on the Chedi Muscat.

It is indeed, one of the most beautiful hotel in the world and it was awarded World’s Leading Luxury Honeymoon Resort in 2019
and Oman’s Leading Resort in 2019. Some people even travel all the way to Oman just to stay at the Chedi.

I had the chance to visit many 5 stars resort since I started this blog and The Chedi, together with Alila also in Oman, and maybe La Mamounia in Marrakech are in my top 3. Of course it is difficult to compare but in all those 3 hotels I managed to relaxe completely and immerged in the culture of the country and the service of course, was perfect from the beginning to the end.

Chedi Muscat, review of the resort

First of all the Chedi Muscat, a GHM hotel, is a very spacious resort so that it never feels crowded. It is very green with lots of palm trees and other vegetations and pool lovers will appreciate the three swimming pool. Long beach is the most famous pool of the resort. As the name says it is very long and perfect if you really want to swim. The resorts also has it’s once private beach. It is made out of pebbles but its nice for the view and for a quick deep.
For the most sporty there is also a tennis court as well as complimentary yoga and pilates classes.

Review Chedi Club Suite

We stayed in one of the Chedi Club Suite which is the highest room category at the Chedi. The suite is 67 square meters and made of two rooms. One king size bedroom and a living room with large divan, complimentary minibar including alcoholic beverages and an office in case you need to work. Beside this, the suite also has a large bathroom for two with a very cool terrazzo sunken bathtub like the movies and products by Acqua di Parma. Perfect relaxation! Outside you also have a private terrace with sun chairs. I loved staying there at the end of the day to proceed all the things I have done and seen during the day.

Restaurants at the Chedi Muscat

The Chedi has Six restaurants offering Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Indian cuisine. We ate at The Restaurant. I enjoyed a typical Tajine was my friend was eating European cuisine. Both were delicious. Unfortunately we didn’t had the opportunity to eat in the other restaurants but the long pool cabana looked promising. It is lovely set and modern Japanese and Asian cuisine. perfect for sunset.

As we stayed in the Chedi Club Suite, we also had the opportunity to try the club lounge where it is possible to have tea and snacks as well as cocktails in the evening.

Spa at the Chedi

We didn’t have the opportunity to test the spa but I visited it by curiousity. It is very big, with 1,500-square-metre. Many treatment rooms and a relaxing room with ocean view. Someone said on Instagram stories to have a couple massage. I visited the couple room and it is definitely to recommend if you travel with your partner.

Fazit – Where to sleep in Oman

I can totally recommend to stay at the Chedi if you are in Muscat and your budget allows it. Indeed, the rooms don’t come cheap but it is much more than just a hotel and definitely worth every penny and an experience you won’t forget.
