Shortly before Christmas, I tried the Fragances bar in Berlin at the Ritz Carlton, one of the new chic and cool places in Berlin.
It took me a while to write this article but I really wanted to keep it to post during Berlin fashion week, when everyone is looking for a cool and fashionable bar to relax after all the shows and event.
As the name already says, the Fragances bar at Ritz Carlton is a bar inspired by fragances. This is the very first bar of this kind in the world.
The idea behind it as well as all drinks are created by Arnd Heißen and have been inspired by famous perfumes such as Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo or Nuit D’Issey by Issey Miyake. Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo’s Eau de Parfum “combines notes of pink pepper and accords of flowering jasmine and roses with a delicate sweetness of pannacotta.” I had this as a drink and really tasted how I would have imagined it would taste.
The bar is very fun, you enter and find yourself in an interactive Hall in which you choose your drink using all your senses. First you decide by what you see and then by what you smell, finally by what you read.
To perfect this experience, drinks are served in a very stylish bar and in very stylish glass.
I love to go there with my girlfriends. It is such a fun experience and the bar is so beautiful it really makes you feel you escaped Berlin for a little while.
Fragrances at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 6 pm.
