A few days ago I spent a few days in a incredibla Airbnb villa for a luxury weekend at Villa Cama in Croatia.

I guess everyone knows Airbnb by now. Maybe you use it as a guest or as a renter. I personally use Aibnb as well especially when I travel with friends because it is just perfect if you are a party of 3 and more, as everyone can stay under the same roof.

Villa CaMa, Luxury Airbnb Villa

When in Croatia we stayed at Villa CaMa, a beautiful vila situated on the Posedarje coast and owned by the Hummels family. If you are German you will be familiar with this name as Matt Hummels is player of the German Soccer team and Catherine Hummels, his wife was our lovely host during our stay. She is also the one who decorated the houses and had the vision of this project.

The family owns 3 beautiful houses in the area, all with view over the sea and private bathroom for every room that are perfect for a relaxing getaway. Two of the houses have direct access to the sea, and Vila CaMa has an infinity pool as well as a spa area. Real luxury! You can book it here via Airbnb!

The closest city is Zadar. Around 15 minutes ago, a very cute little town and close by you have some very nice beach clubs if you feel like doing anything else than enjoying the villa and the beach. 

Airbnb Experience at Vila CaMa

While at the vila, we also tested Airbnb’s new service : Airbnb Experience that consist in activities and events made by locals.

We did two experiences while in Croatia.

We learned how to do our own cosmetics with local products with a local chemist and we did a local wine and olive oil tasting with a Airbnb user that owns a farm in the area. He brought his products for us to try in the vila and it became such a nice evening. We did not only try the local food but had a real experience with a local, talking about different subjects going for soccer game to politics.

A good way to experience the local culture and get to know locals.
