Review Hotel Cort Palma de Mallorca

Review Hotel Cort Palma de Mallorca travel blogger 2

For my first time in Mallorca I wanted to visit first the city of Palma. I was lucky to work together with Hotel Cort in Palma de Mallorca that is situated in the very city center on Plaça de Cort famous for it’s giant old olive tree.

Hotel Cort – An hotel in the city centre of Palma

Hotel Cort is situated in the very center of Palma de Mallorca. It makes it the perfect match for a first time on the island or for people looking for a weekend trip. It is so close to everything in the old town. From shopping to the famous “La Seu” cathedral you can do everything by feet. And if you want to go to the beach it is possible to do so as well. It is only a 10 minutes walk to the city beach.

Review Hotel Cort Palma de Mallorca – A design hotel

Palma de Mallorca has seen emerged many boutique hotels over the past few years. Hotel Cort, opened 6 years ago is one of them. As a member of Design hotels it is beautifully curated by Lázaro Rosa-Violán who gave each area of the hotel a special touch with frame maps, and colors like blue and red. A highlight in such an hotel situated in the city center is the little rooftop pool to refresh one self when it gets too hot for sightseeing.

The junior Plaza suite at Hotel Cort

While at Hotel Cort I stayed in one of the junior plaza suite. A spacious room with a large and comfortable bed. One of the service of the hotel is to offer a pillow menu. It means that you can order the pillow you wish depending on your body type or sleeping habits. Pretty cool.

The junior suite also has a living room area with great books on Marllorca and architecture and a balcony overlooking Plaça de Cort. I loved watching the city waking up from the balcony in the morning.

The bathroom was lovely also, with great products from Molton Brown.

Hotel Cort – The restaurant

Unfortunately I did not try lunch or dinner at Hotel Cort so that I can’t speak much about the food. I just know that they use local and seasonal products for their dishes. I only had breakfast at the restaurant. The Spanish ham was delicious BTW.

The restaurant itself is very cool with lots of mosaic, bottle shelves, mirrors and huge chandelier.

Fazit

I loved staying at Hotel Cort for the primarly reason that it is so central and that you can visit all of Palma de Mallorca by feet. An of course the great design is the cherry on the top!
