A few weeks ago, Visit Peru invited me and a few other bloggers to discover the Peruvian culture by trying out the Chicha, a Peruvian restaurant in Berlin Neukölln.
Indeed, as you probably know, Peruvian cuisine is the new It cuisine and it was highly time to try it out.
What explains the trend around Peruvian food is that the cuisine is very rich and diverse, thanks to the geographic situation of Peru that allows to have a lot of ingredients and to the many immigrants who came to Peru over the years and mixed their recipes with the ingredients available in Peru.
At Chicha, we learned around a Pisco sour, more about the Peruvian cuisine and Pisco : Peru’s national spirit and we did our very own ceviche before enjoying it, together with other Peruvian specialities like fried rice with seafood, quinoa salad and Yucca fries.
