If you remember I took part in a very cool event in Berlin back in November organized by the gin brand Bombay Sapphire.
Like in Berlin, the event took place this time in Hamburg, in a vintage train, the „Laverstoke Express“ in which you virtually travel the world through a culinary experience. In 60 minutes the train takes you to 10 different places in the world where the botanicals to produce the Bombay Sapphire gin are sourced from.
This time, Bombay Sapphire teamed up with the youngest 2 stars cook in Germany : Tristan Brandt as well as some as the best bartenders from Germany : Arnd Henning Heissen from the Curtain Club in Berlin, Christian Janzen from Drip Bar in Hamburg, Lee Daniel Hobbs from The Walrus Bar in Hamburg as well as Jan Jehli from One Trick Pony in Freiburg.
With the many ingredients like juniper, liquorice, grains of paradise, etc both cook and bartenders prepared some amazing creations, not only in taste but also visually.
To magnify the experience, the whole train journey was accompanied by short theatrical performances that immersed us even more into the fascinating countries the Bombay Sapphire botanicals come from.
